Satellite Beach Youth Football and Cheer

Dear Seahawk families, With the increase in covid 19 infections in our community we as a league will be following the CDC guidelines. Please monitor your player’s health daily and keep them home if they are sick or have a fever. Please communicate with your head coach or league player safety coordinator if your player has tested positive for covid 19, has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for covid 19 or if you have been notified by your player’s school that they must quarantine. Close contact is defined as being within 6 feet of someone for a total of 15 minutes or more, you had direct physical contact, they sneezed or coughed or you shared eating or drinking utensils whether you wear a mask or not.

CDC guidelines
Anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid 19 (excluding people who have had Covid 19 within the past 3 months) need to quarantine at home for 14 days after your last contact.

Options to reduce quarantine include
- After 10 days without testing as long as there are no symptoms present
- After 7 days after receiving a negative test result and no symptoms present ( test must occur on day 5 or later)
- After stopping the reduced quarantine you must watch for symptoms, wear a mask and sanitize hands until the full 14 days are over

Anyone that tests positive for Covid 19 needs to isolate at home away from their family members
- For 10 days since symptoms first appeared. No fever for 24 hours without use of fever reducing medications and other symptoms of Covid 19 improving
- For 10 days since you had a positive Covid 19 test if you had not had any symptoms

The best way to prevent spreading Covid 19 is wearing a mask, staying 6 feet away from others, avoiding crowds and wash your hands often.

Here’s to a healthy and fun flag football season. Go Seahawks!
