Board Info

The Satellite Beach Youth Football and Cheer Association is the parent board that oversees both the Satellite Beach Seahawks Pop Warner and Satellite Beach NFL Flag programs.

Those who volunteer on the board do so in 1 or 2 year terms.  Board meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM, currently using the Satellite Beach Civic Center 565 Cassia Blvd Satellite Beach, FL 32937 location.

The specific objectives and purposes shall be to aid and stimulate members in carrying out necessary activities required to establish and maintain a program to provide the youth of the south Brevard County beach communities, the opportunity to participate in the game of American Football, Cheerleading, and associated activities prior to High School.

The essence of these Programs are instructional while competing with other like organizations. The game of Football, Cheerleading and associated activities require both physical and mental discipline. It is the purpose of this Corporation to encourage and foster the development of youth in the community through participation in athletics as they mature to promote their overall physical and mental well-being.

The function and objective of the Corporation is to promote and provide a positive environment, which fosters learning, team work, respect for others and the self-­esteem/image of youth.

John Wallace



John is a lifelong resident of Brevard County.  He grew up OTB(Over the Bridge) in Eau Gallie where he attended and played football for Eau Gallie High School.  John attended Brevard Community College and is a Firefighter/Paramedic.  He teaches EMT's and Paramedics at Eastern Florida State College of Public Safety.  John is married to his wife Lalanya for 15 years, they have 2 younger children at home Sophia and Jay.  With 2 older sons who are now raising families of their own.
John started out with the Seahawks as a flag coach and flag coordinator in 2012.  From there he transitioned to tackle after 2 years as coordinator.  He has held the positions of tackle football director, coaching coordinator, president and commissioner.  John has worked diligently over the past 7 seasons to help grow our program.
His biggest accomplishment is that he has helped grow the number of people in our league and the focus on character development.  The current plans for the future are to work this 2019 season to find his replacement.  He would like to turn over the Seahawks to the next generation.
