Announcing Jordan Burns as Director of Senior Girls

Iowa Rush is excited to announce Jordan Burns as the Director of Senior Girls.  As the Iowa Rush Senior Girls Director, Jordan will oversee and manage the 16-19U Select Girls teams, coaches, and players in collaboration with the Iowa Rush select program.  As part of the Director of Senior Girls responsibilities, he is to ensure the club standards and curriculum are integrated across the teams and congruent with the youth select (11-15U) teams.  Jordan will oversee the senior girl’s player experience cohesively with the technical director and director of coaching.  He will also oversee the College Advisory Program including one on one meetings, showcases, tournaments, Iowa Rush College Combine, and placement for all senior players.


Kirk Artist, Iowa Rush Technical Director had this to say, “Jordan has provided a fantastic experience for all Iowa Rush players during his time with the club.  I am excited to have him lead the senior girls program into the future and build on the high level of success and standards that have been set.”

Jordan was born in Bo’ness, Scotland where he played as a youth player for Scottish professional teams Falkirk FC and Stenhousemuir FC. He later joined Grand View University Men’s Soccer team where he helped his team reach the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8 of the NAIA National Tournaments. Jordan began his coaching career with West Des Moines Soccer club as well as a four-year Assistant Coach at Grand View University Men’s Soccer team helping them to reach the Final Four in the NAIA National Tournament. Jordan was also the Ankeny High School Boys Head Coach for two years and is currently still coaching with the Iowa ODP program. Jordan graduated from Grand View University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a M.S. in Sports Management.  


Director of Senior Girls – Jordan Burns had this to say: “I am very excited and honored to lead such a successful program. Daryl Brazeau has been a great mentor for me over the past 12 months and this opportunity is only going to further my growth as a coach. I cannot wait to get started and coach the talented female soccer players we have at Rush.”

The senior girls will continue to play in the Midwest Conference League , Club Development League, and competitive tournaments throughout the yearly calendar.  Iowa Rush will continue to provide the resources that have contributed to 150+ college commitments and 20+ state cup championships since Iowa Rush was established in 2009.
