11U-12U Iowa Rush 2022-2023 Tryouts

About Iowa Rush 2022-2023 11U-12U Select Teams

11U-12U tryouts for our Iowa Rush Select Program will provide a setting in which players are able to try out Iowa Rush as a club. While our staff will certainly be evaluating players throughout the tryout period, one of our main priorities is to get to know each player by name and build a relationship. There will be no numbered shirts or coaches with clipboards writing notes and disconnecting themselves from their relationships with the players.

In essence, tryouts for our 11U-12U teams will be an extension of the spring training season with all new players getting to participate in 3 training sessions.  These sessions will give players and families a view of what to expect in a typical training session during the Select Program year.

All Iowa Rush Select Program teams will be coached by the Iowa Rush Coaching Staff and coaching assignments will be announced before bid days on June 16th (11-13U) and June 23rd (14-19U).

Why Iowa Rush?

We know, there are many reasons parents and players choose to join a competitive youth soccer program. From either experiencing success and enjoyment in the local rec soccer program to just being one of those soccer families with parents who enjoyed the sport in their youth, we understand the draw to the soccer world. But in Central Iowa, there are several competitive youth soccer organizations to choose from so what makes Iowa Rush and the Rush Soccer program so special? While you'll need to do your own research on all competitive youth soccer programs in the area, here are the top 5 reasons our Iowa Rush families chose the Rush Soccer family:

Standard of Success:
At Iowa Rush, we continue to provide opportunities to players to challenge themselves and have success against top teams in the state as well as the Midwest. Iowa Rush Select teams have won a number of state and regional tournaments. We couldn't be prouder of these amazing Select teams!

Quality Staff:
Iowa Rush prides itself in attracting and continuing to develop dynamic, educated, and caring youth soccer coaches. Iowa Rush coaches have played at a higher level and are involved in promoting soccer within our community at every age - from Kicks 4 Kids to high school and college soccer coaching. When not helping develop Iowa Rush players, you can find our coaches developing soccer programs at both high schools in Ankeny. Needless to say, they care deeply about the development of the game!

Creating Memories That Last a Lifetime:
Our players create memories during the regular season at team trainings, games, and tournaments or in the off-season with team bonding activities, winter training, and playing opportunities.  We also provide the opportunity to attend special events like Rush Fest, an International Trip, or various college showcases.

Unique Player Pathways Arranged for Progressive Player Development:
Unique to the Iowa Rush Select Program are our player pathways. Through Rush Soccer, Iowa Rush players have guest playing opportunities with State Cup teams, ECNL teams, and other Rush clubs across the nation.

Providing a Professionalized Environment:
Iowa Rush provides a professional environment by having an office location within Ankeny where all coaches and staff assemble to create, implement, and sustain a training philosophy and methodology.  The fields are professionally maintained for all games and trainings for all Select players within the club.  Lastly, the administrative staff has enough experience and knowledge of the youth soccer landscape to position the club as a leader in the industry for years to come.
