Through the Iowa Rush personal training program, players will get to work with coaches within the Iowa Rush staff. We do have sessions for Goalkeepers as well.
IMPROVEMENT
Why do we train? The answer is simple: to get better. Working with our coaches one one on or in a group session will ensure that you are strengthening your skills and improving on your weaknesses. Sessions will be set up in a way so that it is specific to YOU.
TRAINING FOR ALL
Coaches will assess player ability to make sure that the curriculum is designed with the player in mind. There will be 3 areas that we assess:
•Technical: Footwork (with and without the ball), passing technique, shooting technique
•Physical: Strength and speed with the ball
•Mental: Decision making and the ability to assess a game with the ball
TRAINING ON YOUR OWN
Simply doing these sessions with our coaches is not enough. It will take commitment and training on your own to truly develop and reach your goals. Weekly homework drills may be given to the players to help with this aspect.
