| Technical Director Kirk Artist joined the Iowa Rush coaching staff as the Director of Coaching-Senior Boys in 2017. Artist served for seven years as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Wartburg College. The Knights qualified for the Iowa Conference tournament each year, made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in both of those years. Artist coached 29 All-Conference honorees, eight All-Region selections, three All-Americans, and an NSCAA Academic All-American. He was named IIAC Coach of the Year and the NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Kirk has served on the NCAA Division III National Committee during his time at Warburg. Artist has his NSCAA Premier and NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Coaching Licenses. Kirk currently lives in Ames with his wife Ashley and sons Deacon, Gage, Owen, and Isaac.

| Director of CoachingJeff Adamiak joined the Iowa Rush Select program in 2013 as the Director of Select-Nero teams. Adamiak’s ability to break down technical and tactical ideas has given him a running record of developing quality players across multiple ages for years. Prior to coming to Rush, Jeff worked in the Johnston-Urbandale Soccer Club, spending the last five years as the club’s U9-U10 Academy Director.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeff began his coaching career in the Iowa City area after graduating from the University of Iowa. During his time in Iowa City, Jeff served as the Assistant Director of Coaching for the Iowa City Alliance Soccer Club and the Iowa Soccer Club, in addition to coaching at the high school level with both Iowa City High and Solon HS. In 1998, Jeff became involved in the Iowa Olympic Development Program (ODP), where he spent twelve years as a member of the Iowa ODP State coaching staff. Jeff currently holds a USSF “B” License and USSF “National Youth” License.

| Office Manager Jen Young grew up playing soccer for the West Des Moines Soccer Club, as well as Ankeny High School. She originally went to play soccer for the University of Iowa, but was drawn another direction and got into fitness and health in many other ways. She currently works at Ankeny First United Methodist Church as a fitness consultant. Jen has been coaching at Iowa Rush in several of our programs over the past years, and is excited to be more involved in the sport she has always loved. Jen graduated with a Health and Human Physiology degree and has her USSF E coaching license. She lives in Ankeny with her husband Nathan and keeps busy with fitness, soccer, and her two puppies. |
| Director of Senior Girls
Jordan Burns, born in Bo’ness, Scotland is our new Senior Girls Director. He played for Syngenta Boys Club, Falkirk FC & Stenhousemuir FC professional youth academies, Scotland U18 School Boys, Bo’ness United and Grand View University. As well as a 4 year varsity athlete, Jordan spent an additional 4 years on the Grand View University Men's Soccer coaching staff as a Volunteer Coach and Graduate Assistant Coach. Jordan started his club soccer coaching career at West Des Moines Soccer Club and Sporting Iowa Soccer Club. He has also coached at the high school level as the Ankeny Boys Soccer Head Coach, Waukee Girls Soccer Assistant Coach, Roosevelt Boys Soccer Assistant Coach, and Meredith Middle School Boys Soccer Head Coach. Jordan is currently the Head Coach for the Iowa ODP G2005 team.

| Director of Rec Ben Dighton joined Iowa Rush as a staff coach in 2018 assisting the Academy and Youth Girls programs. His vision and dedication to the program led him into the role of Director of Rec in the fall of 2019. Ben is a Boone, Iowa native and Iowa State University alumni. Previously he played soccer for Boone Soccer Club, Ames Soccer Club, and Buena Vista University. His past coaching experience includes North Polk Boys Varsity Soccer as an assistant coach, Ames Soccer Club as a skills coach, and Altoona Soccer Club as a Staff Coach. |
| Youth Select Director Will began coaching for the Rush in the spring of 2019. He spent his entire youth career (11U-18U) playing for the club and has additional playing experience on Rush National teams and at various levels of ODP. After graduating from Ankeny High School in 2016, Will went on to play at Drake University. |
| Staff Coach and North Select Director Luke McClyman joined the Iowa Rush staff in the Fall of 2020. McClyman coached the past two years in Madison, WI for the Madison 56ers. Prior to that, Luke coached 5 years out in Grand Junction, CO for Fire FC, out in Colorado he helped with Division 2 Colorado Mesa University both on the Men's and Women's as a volunteer. McClyman was the Men's Assistant coach at Wartburg College for 2 years. As a native of Iowa Luke played his club soccer at CRSA and his college soccer at Wartburg College and he also played for the Des Moines Menace. McClyman has his USSF C License as well as his National Youth License. Luke is moving to the Des Moines area with his new wife Calli and his dog Lela!

| Staff Fred Frimpong was born in Ghana, Africa. Fred played for Asante Kotoko S.C., Ankeny Soccer Club, Altoona Futsamba, Iowa ODP, Iowa Rush, and the Rush National Team. He played Division I soccer for the University of Nebraska Omaha for 3 years and for Drake University for 1 year. Fred was an assistant coach for various teams in the Iowa Rush Soccer Club for the past year.

Chris Allen joined the Iowa Rush coaching staff in 2021 after volunteering in the recreational program in 2020. He is also the head coach of the Ankeny Centennial girls' soccer team and was formerly the head coach of the Ankeny High School Hawkettes. While coaching high school soccer, Allen has been honored as a ESPN Rise All-American Team Spring Coach (2013), a NHSACA Coach of the Year Finalist (2019), a USC State Coach of the Year (2018), a Top Drawer Soccer Midwest Region Coach of the Year (2016), and an IAHSSCA Hall of Fame inductee (2019). Prior to coaching, Allen played soccer at Buena Vista University where he helped the program reach the conference tournament two out of his four years, which also coincided with the first four years of the program. Allen enjoys coaching at all levels of youth soccer and believes in helping players develop leadership and teamwork skills while they grow as soccer players. He holds his USSF D License, NSCAA/USC Level 1 Diplomas, and NSCAA/USC Goalkeeping I and II licenses.

| Staff Brian is a former All-Missouri Valley conference player for Drake University who remains in the record books for career goals scored. In fact, he ranks in the top 5 for career goals scored and career shots taken. Duax served as the Assistant Varsity coach at Dowling High School for ten years, before becoming Ankeny High School's Head Varsity Coach in 2013. Brian, his wife Kristen, and three children (Ty, Tate and Teresa) reside in Ankeny. |
