Parkside Little League is a non-profit organization run solely by dedicated volunteers. It has served Northeast Portland communities for over 60 years, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for kids to learn, play, and enjoy baseball. The league’s origins date back to 2015, when Parkrose and Lakeside Little Leagues combined to create Parkside.
For over six decades, the league has helped kids in Northeast Portland—from T-ball to competitive hardball—develop teamwork, confidence, and community, one swing at a time. It’s more than a game; it’s a foundation for the future. The league’s goal is to provide a healthy environment for youth to play ball, meet new friends, and build self-confidence and self-esteem. Parkside encourages participation, develops character and discipline, promotes teamwork, and fosters citizenship and community pride.
Parkside Little League, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization (EIN 93-0806296).
Mission
Our mission is to make baseball accessible, fun, and positive for Youth in Northeast Portland (Cully, Sumner, Parkrose, Parkrose Heights, Madison South, and Maywood Park). At Parkside Little League, it’s all about the kids developing a love for the game and skills that translate off the baseball field into the game of life.
Vision
Every kid plays ball.
Parkside encompasses the historically underserved neighborhoods, and we operate with a simple philosophy: every kid plays ball, regardless of financial ability. In 2024 alone, we got 200 kids into the game–many at little to no cost.
