What happens in high school?

We want to make it clear that when your player reaches High School, his/her Rush Career is NOT over!  The high school age is still a crucial time for development. While we encourage players to play for their high school, we also recognize that it is difficult to continue development in the high school soccer setting as teams are constantly chasing results and games thus resulting in little training as training is mostly used for recovery between games. So, what does this mean? During their Rush season players will still play in either the MAYSA or State League in addition to 2 tournaments.

Boys (Wisconsin and Minnesota Residents) - When your player is in 8th grade they will finish through June of the spring season with Rush. They will then attend Rush tryouts in June for their 2023 Spring Rush season. They will then play High School soccer from Mid Aug-Mid Nov 2022. They can then choose to participate in our winter training program once High School finishes. If they play another winter high school sport, they do not have to do winter training, it is up to them. Then they will play with Rush from March 2023 through June 2023 and then attend tryouts again in June 2023 for their 2024 Spring season. The cycle then repeats.

Summary

  • You are only paying for 1 Rush season with the option of adding winter training
  • You are only traveling for 1 season
  • Your player is getting closer to being able to drive and they will soon be able to take themselves to training and games
