Darby Wesley Bio

Coach Darby's goal is to foster a positive environment for the advancement of soccer, enhance technical & tactical skills, and play a positive role with creating excellent athletes who reflect well on both the community and Iowa Rush. Darby joined Iowa Rush in June of 2017 coaching 13U-19U girls. Along with coaching for Iowa Rush, Darby is the assistant boys varsity head coach for Ankeny Centennial High School, previously being the head JV Boys coach. Before coming to Rush, Darby coached for Ames Soccer and Nevada Club for both boys and girls 8U-13U and was thee head JV Boys coach for Hoover High School.


Darby has his State of Iowa Coaching Authorization, USSF F, E and D licenses, NSCAA High School Diploma: Systems and Tactics – Team Training, NSCAA Special Topics:  Attacking & Defending Principles of Play Diploma, as well as NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma.
