WHAT IS PTO?
We are a formal organization that consists of parents, teachers and school staff. Our goals include volunteerism of parents, encouragement of teachers and students, community involvement, and welfare of students and families. The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in classroom setting, holds fund-raisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
MESSAGE FROM PTO PRESIDENT:
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is so proud to welcome you and your family to St. Dominic School. We believe you’ve made an excellent choice for your child(ren). St. Dominic has a faculty and staff who are committed and caring, as well as very talented. Our students are respectful, eager to learn, and make us proud as they grow. Moreover, the parents of St. Dominic School have always been so generous and supportive in numerous ways. Just as the mission statement of St. Dominic says, we, as members: “Welcome Jesus Christ into our lives and give witness to His way of life.” The PTO works hard with the faculty and staff to provide a better educational environment for everyone. Our success is greatly dependent on our many dedicated parent volunteers. We are extremely grateful for them, and we find our members gain a lot through volunteering too. Our fundraisers and activities not only provide support to the school, but also create opportunities for parents to meet one another and create meaningful friendships.
ST DOMINIC PTO MISSION
The PTO's mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of St. Dominic School. Our efforts serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child while aiding them in achieving their highest potential.
ABOUT ST DOMINIC SCHOOL
St. Dominic School, “A Place to Grow”, proudly exists to serve the individual needs, both spiritual and educational, of the children of the parish and local community. Our school strives to guide each student into becoming a faith-filled child of God through a strong religion program, numerous liturgical functions, active student ministries in the church and school, an emphasis on Catholic services and celebrations, an immersion in a character education program, and an active student-led Christian Service program. Closely related to the spiritual development of each student is a strong academic program which utilizes differentiation as the groundwork to assist each child in recognizing his or her own potential.
