At Chicago Rush Soccer Club we offer a pathway for our players from beginner all the way through to professional level. Our Player Development Pyramid represents the multiple levels and age groups that make up our integrative club programming. We believe the opportunities our club offers are unique within Illinois, with access to local, regional, national and international competition.
Chicago Rush Community Programs
One of the primary aims of our programming is to offer a high quality soccer experience to the communities in each of our locations. Our clubs work closely with schools, park districts, churches and local youth providers to offer a range of coaching and programs. These include after school programs, attendance at local summer camps and seasonal clinics.
Our own Junior Rush program is specifically designed for players and families beginning their journey within the game. Through using professional staff to work closely with each family we ensure that U4- U8 players have fun and begin to grow a passion for the game.
Chicago Rush Travel Clubs
Four Travel Soccer Clubs make up our Chicago Rush family. Currently we have over 1300 players representing nearly 125 teams across all of our locations. Our clubs are based within the local communities in the following areas:
- Rush (Oswego, Naperville, Plainfield)
- North (Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove, Highland Park)
- South (Channahon, Minooka, Morris, Shorewood, Joliet)
- West (Bartlett)
Our club teams compete within the IWSL (Girl’s League), YSSL (Boy’s League), Midwest Regional League (MRL) and IYSA Premiership to ensure that each team is challenged at an appropriate level for development. We offer in and out of state tournament competition, including IYSA State Cup, IYSA Presidents Cup and IYSA Junior Cup opportunities, to teams across each club.
Chicago Rush Select
Our Chicago Rush Select program is designed to supplement our travel club programming and offers a further level of training and competition to our U11-U19 players. Players are recommended by their Chicago Rush club coach or nominated by their club director for a position within our Select teams at each age group. The goal of the program is to give our Premier players the opportunity to play, interact and compete with each other to enhance their own development in each of the components of performance.
Rush National Select
The Rush National Select program brings together the top players from across all Rush clubs throughout the US and Internationally. Players are identified and invited to the Rush National ID Event, which is based at the Grande Sports Complex in Casa Grande, Arizona. Players in attendance, including current US Youth National team players, participate in practice and games under the observation of Rush staff, with the top players in each age group identified and invited to be a part of the Select teams for each age group from U13 – U19. Players are then invited to travel to tournaments across the US and Internationally to represent Rush Soccer on a global stage.
Penn FC
In 2017, Rush Soccer announced an exciting partnership with USL club, Penn FC. This partnership gives our players a true pathway to the pros. Rush Directors will work closely with the management at Penn FC to identify and offer opportunities to players across the country who may wish to make the step to the professional level, either before, during or after their college careers.
