The top priority of Bluffton Rush SC is to provide all of our players with the finest training and opportunities to develop and grow as young athletes. This starts with quality, responsible and committed coaches. Each BRSC Coach is encouraged to develop their craft and will be evaluated by the Club periodically. We consider our coaching staff to be a team in itself and coaches are encouraged to collaborate with each other to provide the best coaching they can.

Mike Haughton, Technical Director, 2008 Girls and 206/07 Girls Coach
We are looking forward to Mike joining us as our Technical Director and coach. Mike is a UEFA “A” Licensed Coach. In his youth he played for Manchester City Youth Academy. and went onto to play Semi-Pro in England. Mike Spent 12 years at Manchester City FC coaching the academy teams. He also started the professional women’s team at the club. Mike has been coaching in South Carolina since 2018 where he has been Director of Education of many youth clubs. Mike will also be on the Rush National Select Team Coaching Staff.
Tucker Reynolds, Executive Director, 2009/10 Girls Coach and 2004/05 Boys Coach
Tucker holds a USSF “C” License as well as Advanced National Diploma from United Soccer Coaches. Tucker brings over 32 years of coaching experience to Bluffton Rush. He has coached at all ages and in both genders. He has coached recreational, club, high school and college soccer including 10 years as a high school coach and 9 years as the Head Coach at Framingham State University. He coached in US Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development Program for over 26 years in Massachusetts and Louisiana and served on the Region 1 Girls ODP Staff for 7 years. He has taken state and regional ODP teams to Europe numerous times and coached at National ODP identification camps. Most recently Tucker served as the Executive Director of Louisiana Soccer Association.
Dianne Wilson, Pre-Academy Director and 2011 Girls Coach
Dianne is a USSF National “D” license coach. BA from Wake Forest University. Dianne was a competitive tennis player in her youth and played NCAA Division 1 tennis for Wake Forest University. Dianne has 7 years of coaching experience at all levels of play. She is currently the Variety Girls Soccer Coach for Beaufort High School. Dianne is very much looking forward to her 2nd year with Bluffton Rush and in directing the area's only pre-academy program.
Helder Castellanos, 2012 Boys Coach
Helder is a USSF “Grassroots” Licensed Coach and a USSF “D” licensed candidate. He is a life-long soccer enthusiast and student of the game. Helder has over 2 years of coaching experience. He started coaching in a local recreational league and joined Bluffton Rush SC as a coach in December 2021. He has a passion for developing young players and giving them the foundation of technical skills and tactical awareness. Helder joined the coaching staff in December 2021.
Minh Dang, 2006 Boys Coach
USSF “D” licensed candidate with BA Biology degree from University of South Carolina Beaufort. Throughout his youth, Minh played for his high school varsity team and signed for the USC Salkahatchies college team. Minh has over 6 years of coaching experience spending five years as Assistant Coach for the Battery Creek High School Varsity Boys' team and 1 year coaching at Bluffton Rush SC where he enjoyed a successful year with the 2006 Boys team.
Gabriel Gutierrez, 2010 Boys Head Coach
Gabriel was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He played soccer through high school and then attend Arizona State University from which he earned his degree in business management. He has 8 years coaching experience in both clubs and schools. Most recently, Gabriel was the Head Coach of a 2012 Boys team with Phoenix Rising FC, a USL club. He is presently a candidate for his US Soccer D-License. Gabriel and his wife have recently moved to Bluffton to join the family restaurant business.
Nick Lewis, 2012 Girls Head Coach
Nick is from Bluffton, South Carolina. He played at May River High school where his team won a state championship in 2019. He also played competitive soccer for GPS Coastal Academy and was recruited to play college soccer at Bob Jones University and Mohawk Valley Community College. Nick has begun his coaching career as a coach specializing in individual player development. He begins his first season with Bluffton Rush SC this fall.
Julio Lopez. 2013 Boys Head Coach
Julio is a USCB alumni with a BA in Business Administration and Management. Julio has a USSF “Grassroots” License. In his youth, Julio played for Bluffton High School and won multiple MVP awards as well as captaining the team for 3 years. Julio played for club teams in GA and was selected to play for the Regional Premier League team CGSA in Savannah. Julio founded the USCB club soccer team. Julio has over 5 years coaching at various levels and age groups. This will be Julio’s second season with Bluffton Rush SC.
Robert Parkes, 2007 Boys Head Coach
Robert is originally from Jamaica. He played soccer from an early age and played for various clubs in Jamaica. Robert has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a master’s degree in Health and Wellness. He has over 15 years of coaching experience and holds a USSF “D” license. Robert moved to SC in 2015 as a Physical Education teacher and coached club and Varsity boys’ high school soccer. Robert begins his first season at Bluffton Rush SC this fall.
Andrew Torrecillas, 2008 Boys White Coach
Andrew is progressing with his National D license and has over 15 years of coaching experience. His playing experience includes 9 years at various youth levels culminating with representing Marine Corps Base Cherry Point in base-to-base competition. He holds a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. The 2022 season will be the start of his second-year coaching Rush soccer. Andrew is also the first Director of Goalkeeping for Bluffton Rush SC.
