The Bluffton Rush Foundation Limited was created in May 2021 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. In November 2022, corporate Bylaws were formally adopted, a Board of Directors was appointed, and Officers were elected. Below are those volunteers serving to make Bluffton Rush SC the pre-eminent soccer club in the Low Country.
BRSC Officers
Kathleen Smith, Chair of the Board of Directors
Kathleen is originally from Hillsborough, New Jersey and moved to Bluffton with her family in 1994. She
was a member of the first graduating class of Bluffton High School in 2005. Kathleen works in Association Management where she oversees the day-to-day operations at 4 communities and works directly with the
Board of Directors. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tony, their children Alexa
and Darrius, and their 2 rescue dogs, Marilyn and Penny. Kathleen enjoys traveling to her children's sports
events, cooking & camping.
Curt Jacobi, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors
Curt is originally from Charleston, SC. He earned two degrees in the Mass Communications field, one from Trident Technical College and the other from the University of South Carolina. He has spent nearly 20 years in
the local marketing, advertising and business scene by leading the advertising department at The Island Packet. In early 2022, Curt joined Impact.com, a digital marketing software provider, as a Sales Enablement Manager. Curt and his wife, Laura, have called the Lowcountry home for more than 20 years. Their two sons, Cole and Cameron have been a part of local club soccer for years and have been members of Bluffton Rush since its inception.
Tucker Reynolds, President/Executive Director
Tucker is originally from the Boston area where he practiced law for 30 years. He has been a soccer coach at all levels for more than 33 years. He has 8 years' experience as a high school coach and 10 years as a college coach. He coached for over 25 years in US Youth Soccer's Olympic Development program including 7 years on Senior Staff in Region I. Administratively, Tucker served as the Director of Communications at Massachusetts Youth Soccer and most recently served as the Executive Director of Louisiana Soccer for the past 8 years. He joined BRSC in June 2022 as the Club's first Executive Director and as a Staff Coach of 2 teams. Tucker has been
married to his wife, Nunzi, for 41 years and enjoys spending time with his 3 grown children and their families.

John Lawson, Member
John is originally from Springfield, Illinois. He received a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy in 2005 and is presently the Pharmacy Manager at Walmart in Bluffton. He played soccer through college and has a passion for all sports. John and his wife, Lauren, also a Doctor of Pharmacy, have 2 sons, Hudson and Carter, both of whom play for Bluffton Rush. John was one of the founders of Bluffton Rush and continues to work hard to realize its mission to help cultivate young people to be whatever they want to be in life through soccer.
