SJEB FC COLONIAL

ANNOUNCING SJEB FC COLONIAL STARTING JANUARY 2023
SJEB FC will be forming teams in the Colonial District of South Jersey to provide quality soccer training for players in their own back yard. The premise was brought forward by a couple of clubs in the district with a need to bridge a gap in the development model for talented players in the area.

Andrew O'Malley of Haddon TWP soccer club believe SJEB Colonial will raise the tide for soccer in our area. "By bringing elite training to our back yards, SJEB Colonial will provide a place for talent to stay close to home and continue to grow while also staying connected to their local clubs. When you look across the colonial conference you see so much talent spread across clubs all over SJ. SJEB FC Colonial will raise the level of talent for many communities while providing a place for talent to stay close to home.”

He added, "I'm grateful SJEB is partnering with local clubs. It's simple, talent from our area has been dispersed across too many clubs for too long. Families no longer need to fight rush hour traffic for 60 minutes to play for academy level teams."

“Haddon Township Soccer Club looks forward to a positive relationship with SJEB FC. This will give our soccer community another avenue to grow and succeed together for years to come” - Haddon TWP Soccer Club Board

SJEB FC are pleased to announce current Staff Coach and RUC-Camden Mens' Assistant Coach Bill Rizzo as Director of Coaching. "SJEB FC is excited to announce its formation of teams in the Colonial District, a long-time hotbed for soccer in South Jersey" said Rizzo. "In doing so, players will have the opportunity to experience high quality training sessions and playing opportunities right in their backyard. I am delighted to serve as the Director of Coaching and be part of our club’s expansion as the SJEB FC methodologies have a proven track record for individual player development and overall team success."

WHO’S IT FOR

SJEB FC Colonial is designed for the elite level player that will inevitably leave their grass roots hometown club seeking higher levels competition.

The idea is to keep players from the Colonial H.S. Conference catchment area local to cut down on travel time as well as represent the district they are from.

This will also serve to strengthen the local high school programs as the players will play together at the club level and then compete alongside and/or against each other during the fall high school season.

At the small sided level of 7v7 and 9v9 it is encouraged that the players continue to play and train with their grass roots club in addition to playing and training with SJEB FC. The program will be club neutral with no outside influence.

To support the growth of players from our area we are looking to partner with each of the grass root clubs to provide resources (i.e. field space for training and matches) in order to provide local access to reduce time spent traveling.

An advisory board will be created with leaders from each club (to ensure no single club has more influence than another) that will meet monthly to ensure we are meeting the wants and needs of our players and supporting clubs. In return, SJEB FC will provide resources to the supporting clubs such as coaching education sessions, club neutral developmental training sessions, camps and clinics, tournament support, etc.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our training objective is to promote the development of youth soccer players through age appropriate technical, tactical, physical and psychological training methods. To build a reputation for developing well rounded players using a positive environment focusing on improving ability, drive, responsibility, dedication, discipline, and commitment. To become the best developmental program in the region.

The SJEB FC offers an array of player and club development programs to all levels of players. Consistent developmental programs, appropriate age specific implementation of the four pillars of soccer (technical, tactical, physical and psychological), competitive training and playing environment at all ages, identification and nurturing of players with exceptional ability, elimination of parental and coaching agendas from developmental process, application of appropriate year round programs, encourage players to challenge themselves by playing up or participating in higher level activities (regional or national pools, foreign exchange programs).

It is the objective of the SJEB FC to create the right environment for the elite youth soccer player to reach their own true potential. Our staff understands the importance of providing a solid foundation for the young players.  The future development and success of a young player depends on receiving correct and relevant information at an early age.  We have designed a curriculum that emphasizes age-specific technical skills combined with teaching them how to make tactical decisions on the field.

To range our success, we have approached our teams with long term goals. Our most important goal is to develop the player and not use the quick fix route that uses winning as its only measurement. Our program as it progresses out of infancy has been influenced and adapted from several of the best youth systems in the world. In essence, we have taken the best aspects domestically and abroad and have tailored it to the needs of the American youth player. In short, it is our goal to develop and attract the best players in South Jersey and put them in the most demanding/competitive environment.

An environment of this magnitude will allow players to perform outside their comfort zone, which will increase their learning curve. Have you ever heard the sayings, "Practice makes perfect" or "Practice does not make perfect it makes permanent?" Well we not only think that perfect practice makes for perfect performance, but quality practice maximizes potential. This is why we wish to increase the number of times a player practices in a quality environment. It is important that we give our youth every opportunity to realize their potential!

SJEB FC is a 501© 3 not-for-profit organization registered in the State of New Jersey and are a Premier Soccer Academy catering to the U7-U23 age groups. SJEB FC is committed to providing a comprehensive and progressive developmental training program for the serious soccer athlete.

Our goal is to create a professional training environment that will allow for all players and teams to reach their highest potential. It is essential that all our members have respect for the game, their teammates, coaches and opponents. We are committed to providing highly qualified and motivated staff members that will work diligently at teaching the game at all levels.

The South Jersey Elite Barons was formed in November of 2009 with the merger of the South Jersey Barons organization (Est. 1997) and the South Jersey Elite organization (Est. 2007). The club attracts players from the most Southern tip of the state, Cape May all the way up to Rancocas Valley. In 2015 they merged with NJ Rush to form SJEB Rush, in 2020 the club dropped the Rush name and are known as SJEB FC.

SJEB FC's turf training facilities include Rowan University West Turf Complex, Rowan University Game field, Total Turf Experience and Camden Catholic High School. SJEB FC use the Futsal Courts and Indoor Turf facilities at Total Turf Experience.

SJEB FC uses Tuckahoe Turf Farm for our home games; the “Farm” has been providing the best natural playing surfaces to professional and collegiate teams on the east coast for decades.  Tuckahoe provides the playing surfaces for the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Boston Red Sox and US Soccer events just to name a few.
