Cheerleading Coach Requirements:

All NWAA cheer coaches have experience at multiple different levels, whether it is dance, youth cheerleading, high school, or college! Beyond their cheerleading experience, we are also looking for volunteers who will be positive role models for our cheerleaders, focus on the safety of each athlete, and will promote sportsmanship and dedication, while also helping the athletes build confidence within themselves!

Head/Assistant Coaches (over the age of 18) and Team Moms are background checked and certified by NAYS for the safety of all our athletes.

We accept Trainers (coaches under the age of 18) to help with teams on an as-needed basis. The purpose for our trainers is to give them the opportunity to learn routine creation, skill development, leadership skills, and all other essential coaching techniques from our certified and experienced coaches prior to becoming an adult!

If you are an athlete who has aged out of our program, we would love to see you back as a trainer!

Coaches are also encouraged to complete certifications for First Aid/CPR and Concussion Protocol Training!
