Travel program information

  • Travel team Tryouts flier
  • Travel player specific registration form, and other Travel team need to know information provided at Tryout sessions
  • Tryouts are Free, no cost or obligation. No registration required to participate in Tryouts
  • Any registered player who does not receive an invite following Tryouts, or does not attend Tryouts will be rostered to a Recreational team. All registered kids will play.

Available Programs

RINGGOLD YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAMS AND ELIGIBILITY

All Ringgold school district children in Kindergarten to 6th grades
Separate boys and girls divisions except Lil Ballers and Hoop Stars


LIL BALLERS INSTRUCTIONAL
  • Kindergarten to 2nd grade
  • no games
  • weekly practices
  • basketball foundations, basic skills, fun games and activities
  • program t-shirt provided
HOOP STARS ADAPTIVE BASKETBALL
  • Kindergarten to 6th grade
  • no games
  • weekly practices
  • basketball foundations, basic skills, fun games and activities
  • program t-shirt provided
IN-HOUSE RECREATIONAL
  • 3rd to 6th grade
  • recreational league participation
  • regular season game schedule
  • weekly team games and practices
  • uniform jersey provided

TRAVEL COMPETITIVE
  • dependent on final registration numbers and tryout evaluations
  • 3rd to 6th grade
  • travel league participation
  • regular season game schedule
  • weekly team games and practices
  • complete uniform kit provided - jersey and shorts

Registration Forms and Info

Register form can be submitted online or in-person (except Travel players)

  Hoop Stars - Registration online with this Google Form link available on league Facebook page and website. No cost, FREE registration!!!! The Hoop Stars program is generously sponsored by the Western PA Special Olympics.
Travel - must use the paper form provided at Tryouts and submit in-person along with payment. No online form available.

  • IN-PERSON Recreational / Lil Ballers - Submit the paper registration form previously provided to all eligible students. Copy also available on the league Facebook page and website to print. Must still submit payment in-person. RECREATIONAL / LIL BALLERS PAPER REGISTRATION FORM

Hoop Stars - Submit the paper registration form previously provided to all eligible students. Copy also  available on the league Facebook page and website to print.  No cost, FREE  registration!!!! The Hoop Stars program is generously sponsored by the Western PA Special Olympics.
HOOP STARS PAPER REGISTRATION FORM - return by email or in-person
HOOP STARS MEDICAL RELEASE FORM - must be signed by a physician. This is not due until the first practice, but can be turned-in any time before then by email or in-person.

Travel - must use the paper form provided at Tryouts and submit in-person along with payment.

PARENT VOLUNTEER GHOST CHECK - Recreational players only

> Recreational player parents also must turn-in a volunteer ghost check with registration. One $50 parent volunteer ghost check per player required, up to two max per family
> This is not deposited unless you do not fulfill the 2-hour parent volunteer time commitment by the end of the season. The ghost check is simply securely filed, saved aside until the end of the season. Parents of registered Recreational players who do not volunteer at any point, will have their parent volunteer ghost check/cash deposited after the season ends.
> Mandatory parent volunteer time commitment required is a total of *2-hours on Saturday Recreational league game days in January and February. 
*2-hours for each registered Recreational player, up to 4 hours max per family if more than one child participates.
The parent volunteer ghost check is returned after fulfilling the 2-hour parent volunteer time commitment
*2-hour volunteer time commitment can be completed in a single day, or 1-hour blocks multiple game days.

Payments for registration, game jersey, and/or multiple players can be on one check.
