Ghost Check policy
Ghost check(s) must be submitted on a separate check with registration. RECREATIONAL PLAYERS ONLY - Coaches, board members, Lil Ballers, Travel, and Hoop Stars are exempt.
One $50 ghost check required with every registered player, up to 2 max per family. Ghost Check is made out to Ringgold Youth Basketball and include the player name in the memo line.
All Ghost checks collected with registration are filed securely until the end of the regular season; they are not deposited at any point unless the parent volunteer commitment is not fulfilled.
If you have 2 or more players, please make out 2 separate $50 checks; one for each 2-hour volunteer time commitment required. Again, only up to 2 max parent volunteer ghost checks per family required for 3 or more players.
RECREATIONAL PLAYERS ONLY - Coaches, board members, Lil Ballers, Travel, and Hoop Stars are exempt
If the ghost check(s) is/are not turned in, that player will not be allowed to participate in games and practices.
One 2-hour volunteer time commitment from every registered players' parent/guardian is required each youth basketball season. This is typically limited to Recreational regular season game days in January and February at our home gym hosting games that day working the admission table, concession table, scorebook, or scoreboard.
You can complete this in 1-hour time slots in as few or as many game days as you prefer across the Recreational regular season.
Once one 2-hour volunteer commitment is completed (per player), you can request to get your ghost check back the next week, or have it shredded. If your concession stand duty is not completed by the end of the season, the check will be cashed by RYBA. If the check bounces or is unable to be cashed for any reason, then it is your responsibility to fix this and provide appropriate funds to RYBA or there will be a hold put on your registration account in the following season(s).
