About Wildcats Football
Wayne Wildcats Football is dedicated to upholding the regulations set forth by Pop Warner Little Scholars. Fundamental to our commitment is adhering to a foundational rule that mandates a minimum number of plays for each player. This ensures that every athlete not only learns the game but also creates valuable experiences and lasting memories.
Our football program encompasses multiple levels but our primary objective is to place players on the team that best aligns with their safety and success. If you find yourself uncertain about the most suitable division for your child, there's no need to worry – adjustments will be made, and every player will be appropriately placed at the beginning of the season.
Team categorizations follow the Pop Warner age guidelines, considering the player's age as of July 31st. All levels, regardless of whether they are Competitive or Non-Competitive, participate in standard game formats. However, rules at the Non-Comp levels may differ from the Comp levels, encompassing elements such as 2-point stances, no kick-offs, no blitzing, and higher required minimum plays.
League age determination - Player's age ON or BEFORE July 31st.

- Keep the experience enjoyable, regardless of the outcome; share valuable lessons along the way.
We are always in need of help on the sidelines; the success of our program depends upon our volunteers and coaches. Please consider volunteering to coach, all coaching positions are re-evaluated each season, positions are almost always available. We do appreciate having some football experience in our coaches, but we have all the tools needed to make anyone a great youth football coach – we just need motivated people. Registration fees go to cover the costs of field rentals, lights, insurance, national dues, league fees, payment of game referees, equipment replacement and repair. It is our policy to never allow registration fees to prohibit participation.
