Age Groups / Divisions / Team Placement
Ages refer to age on or before July 31st:

ROOKIE: Age 5
AFC: Age 6-7
NFC: Age 8-9

Flag Football Leadership will place players according to a variety of factors including geographic location, prior coach knowledge, etc.  Requests for specific team/coach will NOT be guaranteed.

Season / Practice
Flag football Season starts after Labor Day and runs through the last weekend of October. Practice starts Tuesday after Labor Day and is 1-2 times per week.  NFC Teams typically practice 2 times a week; AFC Teams typically practice 1 time a week.  Practice days and time is determined by coaches/field assignment.  Rookies practice/scrimmage on Sundays.

Field Assignments
We use fields across the Main Line including Radnor High School Pike field, Teegarden Park, and Wilson Farm Park. Locations will be communicated via Teamsnap.

Games
Games will be held at either Wilson Farm Park or Radnor High School Pike Field on Sundays.

Equipment
Wayne Wildcats provide flag belts and a game day jersey. It is recommended your player also wear a protective cup and removable mouth guard that you provide.

Transitioning to Tackle Football
Players are eligible to play tackle once they are age 7 as of July 31st. Many of our Mighty Mite Tackle Team players play several years of flag football.  If you are interested in discussing the transition, please contact us at [email protected].
