GOLDEN HILL ALL-STARS

Golden Hill proudly upholds the cherished tradition of Little League tournaments, a summer-long journey that ignites the passion and determination of young athletes across the globe. Every June, Little Leagues from coast to coast begin the exciting process of selecting their All-Star teams—exceptional players chosen from the league’s best to compete in district, state, and regional tournaments, all with the dream of advancing to the prestigious Little League World Series in Williamsport.

We also understand that All-Star selection can be an emotional and sensitive matter, particularly given the exceptional talent at Golden Hill. With so many deserving players and only a limited number of spots available, it’s inevitable that some players may not make the team, and we truly empathize with how difficult this can be. Every player gives their best, and the decision is never easy. Please know that each player’s hard work and dedication are valued and appreciated, and the All-Star selection is just one part of their journey.

About All-Star Tournaments

As the Spring season wraps up, Golden Hill embarks on the exciting task of selecting its own All-Star teams from the top players across our AA, AAA, Majors, and Juniors divisions. These athletes are carefully chosen to represent Golden Hill in the District 56 tournament, with teams formed in seven age groups: 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U. Each team then competes for the chance to advance, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship on a much larger stage.

A District 56 championship win is just the beginning. If an All-Star team triumphs in the district tournament, they earn the right to move on to the Section 5 tournament, where the best teams from neighboring districts compete for a shot at the Southern California Little League Tournament. The road to Williamsport is long and full of challenges, but for those who rise to the top, the ultimate prize awaits.

For our 12U, 13U, and 14U All-Star teams, the stakes are even higher. These teams follow the same path, but with the added excitement and intensity of advancing through the West Region tournaments. The 12U team competes in San Bernadino, the 13U team heads to Arizona, and the 14U team plays in Oregon. From there, the regional champions move on to the final stage—the Little League World Series. For the 12U team, this culminates in the opportunity to represent Golden Hill on the biggest stage of all in Williamsport, live on ESPN!

At Golden Hill, we’re not just shaping great players—we’re building character, fostering teamwork, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. The road to the World Series is paved with dedication, perseverance, and the unwavering support of our community. We couldn’t be more excited to continue this legacy of excellence, one pitch at a time.

Team Formation, Eligibility & Commitment

The All-Star selection process is designed to create the most competitive teams while ensuring fair representation for all players.

Each player’s eligibility, including residency and age, will be verified by the Golden Hill Player Agent, League President, and District 56 personnel.

Being selected is a significant honor, but it requires a serious time commitment. Players and parents must sign a commitment acknowledgment form prior to selection. The All-Star season has the potential to run from May thru August.

Team positions and lineup spots are earned during practices. Each team will have at least 12 players, but some may be designated as "batters only," meaning they will not take the field during games.

Practice and Tournament Schedule

The All-Star season requires 4-5 practices per week (up to 3 hours each), beginning in late May and continuing through tournament play, potentially into August. Players are expected to attend all practices and events.

For the 8U & 9U teams, the District 56 Tournament will take place from July 6–25. For the 10U & 11U teams, tournament play may extend into early August, with the potential to culminate in the California State Tournament. For the 12U & older teams, play may continue into late August, with the possibility of advancing to the Little League World Series.
