U6 Academy – Fall 2025

We’re excited to introduce the newWAYSA U6 Academy, launching this fall for players born in2020 and 2021!

Objective:
To create a fun, engaging environment that builds foundational soccer skills, fosters a love for the game, and supports long-term player development and retention.

Program Overview:

• Age Group:Birth years 2020 & 2021
• Session Length:8 weeks, beginning Saturday, September 6, one session per week on Saturday’s from 9:30-10:30 AM
• Cost:$50 per player, including T-shirt

TheU6 Academy is designed to give our youngest athletes a structured, age-appropriate, and supportive introduction to soccer. The focus is on development and fun — with no pressure of competition. We believe this early foundation will help build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of the game. Each week they will focus on a specific skill development activity, with a small-sided scrimmage at the end. We will be looking for two individuals to serve as the maincoaches and then we will need additionalparents to help organize the players. The two head coaches will work with our HS Girls’ Coach, Christine Chiodo with the format and content for each week.

In House Programming - Fall 2025

We’re excited to continue offering ourIn-House Programthis fall for players born between2014 and 2019in theU8, U10, and U12age groups. We’re especially thrilled to bring back ourU12 In-House divisionthis season! New this fall, we hope to offerseparate boys and girls teamsin each age group, depending on registration numbers. If we are unable to form enough teams by gender, the divisions will runcoed as in previous seasons.

Our in-house program is designed to develop core soccer skills, encourage teamwork, and ensure players have fun in a positive, local setting. It also serves as asteppingstone to our Travel Program, which begins at theU10 level. For players looking to continue building their game, the in-house experience provides a strong foundation for future success on and off the field.

Teams will practice one night per week (U10 and U12 - Monday evenings and U8 on Wednesday evenings), games will be played Saturday mornings. Additional details on times and fields will be provided once teams are formed.

Travel Programming - Fall 2025

OurTravel Programoffers players a chance to grow through fun and friendly competition with nearby community teams. Open to players born between2017 and 2008(U10 through U18), travel teams are formed based on interest and the ability to fill rosters. This program is a great fit for players ofall skill levelswho are ready for a new challenge and team development. Each season features8 games(typically 4 home and 4 away), with travel generally within an hour. Practices are heldonce per weekon a day chosen by the coach, andgames are played on Sundays.

Registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once an age group reaches its maximum roster size, additional players will be placed on a waitlist.

In addition to the registration fee, players will need topurchase a uniform kit.

As an added benefit, players onU10 and U12 travel teams(birth years2017–2014) are also welcome to participate in our in-house program atno additional cost
