GYA AZ Soccer Skills Academy

Welcome to the Gilbert Soccer Academy Youth Developmental League!

We are thrilled to introduce our exciting new soccer league, brought to you by Arizona Soccer Skills Academy and Gilbert Youth Athletics.

Led by the highly experienced Coach Rizzo, our league offers a unique blend of expert coaching, holistic development, and community spirit. With a focus on skill-building, teamwork, and personal growth, our program features exciting Saturday night games and guided weekly skills training. Unlike other soccer leagues, our players are guided by professional staff coaches to learn and improve every practice and game session!

We will have 4 Co-Ed Divisions available:

Div 1: Kinder-2nd Grade: Practice Tuesday 4:30p-5:30p and Game Times 5:30p-6:30p

Div 2: 3rd-4th Grade: Practice Thursday 5:30p-6:30p and Game Times 6:30p-7:30p

Div 3: 5th-6th Grade: Practice Thursday 5:30p-6:30p and Game Times 7:30p-8:30p

Div 4: 7th-8th Grade: Practice Thursday 5:30p-6:30p and Game Times 7:30p-8:30p

Cost is $175 for the season (Lock-in Early Registration now for $160)

Training / Practices nights will be lead by professional staff coaches and assisted by parent volunteers. Sign up to Coach or assist and get a $$ credit towards your registration.

Games and Practices

Games: Held at Campo Verde High School on Saturday nights, creating an exciting under-the-lights atmosphere.

Practices: Scheduled at Quartz Hill Elementary for one night during the week, allowing players to develop their skills and build team chemistry.

Benefits of Soccer Program

Our league uses a special 5v5 format to encourage more touches on the ball, quicker decision-making, and better teamwork. This format is designed to enhance skill development and game understanding.
Players represent their schools, fostering pride and school spirit. Volunteer parent/teacher coaches who receive training from Coach Rizzo and his staff guide teams.
Throughout the season, players and coaches participate in ongoing training sessions with Coach Rizzo and his team. This continuous improvement ensures everyone is learning and growing together.
Our league offers a high-quality, cost-effective alternative, making elite soccer training accessible to all families. Plus, our league benefits from the exceptional facilities provided by Gilbert Public Schools, ensuring a high-quality and safe environment for all players.

League Overview:

Outdoor Soccer
We are excited to share our outdoor soccer season with you this year! We will be playing games on Saturday evenings at Campo Verde High School on Saturday evenings and practices at Quartz Hill Elementary on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30pm-6:30pm! Starts October 13, 2025. Spots going fast!
