Why do I need training?

• It makes your ‘job” as coach easier.  Even if you know soccer, you may not know how to teach soccer to young children.
• Our players deserve well-trained coaches and it makes your life so much easier when you know what you’re doing.
• It’s required.  When you volunteered, you agreed to complete training as part of the role.
• You will get your hands on one of the “hot off the press” new Coach Manuals. You will have training plans for an entire season (no more wondering what to do in practice) and it has links to video demonstrations of the skills and games that you can view with your smart phone!
• You will be ready to answer player questions, sharpen their techniques, respond to match day situations and have a stash of resources at your fingertips.

Upcoming Coach Training

Vanessa will conduct a series of coach clinics on Sunday, September 18.  The in-person is the preferred format.  Please plan to attend if you have not been certified for the division you are currently coaching.
U6/U8 at 3:00p
U10 at 4:30-6:30p
