One of the six AYSO Philosophies is BALANCED TEAMS.  This means that each season we start building new teams to make sure that there is a mix of strong and developing players, so all the teams in the age division have a fair shot at success.  This leads to better soccer and a more positive experience...which leads to even better soccer.

This is not a perfect process so we look to the coaches to help with this by completing a player rating sheet.  The ratings will help the division coordinators form new teams for next season.

The evaluations should be self-explanatory and fairly quick, based on the skills taught at the age division.  You are considering individual players relative to other players in the division.  There is a tendency for coaches to downgrade or upgrade their own children, so take a deep cleansing breath.  Coaches and assistants can work on this together.

We need this information back before the end of this season.  We actually hold your trophies and pictures hostage until we get this back!
