The Story, Total Futbol Academy
In June 2009, Cincinnati Futbol Academy and Westside Soccer Club were committed to bettering the brand of soccer and formed an alliance. The marriage between these two clubs created a mission, where we consolidated our coaching resources and improved the quality of our soccer. The idea was that this would produce better players and more successful teams. This alliance ultimately gave birth to The Tri-state Futbol Alliance, a club dedicated to improving the physical, tactical, and technical understanding of each individual player. The Tri-state Futbol Alliance, during this era, implemented many programs to offer our customers multiple training options: Winter Training, Summer Camps, Juniors Program, etc. Our customer base responded with great attendance, and an enthusiasm to improve their individual ability.
In June 2015, our name was changed to Total Futbol Academy to align our club name with our vision for the future. This new name encompasses the vision and dedication that our coaching staff tries to instill in our players every day. Our new club crest incorporates a crown on top, signifying what we strive for as a club, to teach our individual players and collective teams to strive to be the best that they can be. It also represents the city of Cincinnati, the Queen City. Total Futbol is the Dutch philosophy of developing the total player. Player development is our focus. The Total Futbol Academy will continue to offer the programs that have produced success and will implement new training options. We are in the process of developing training options to be the first soccer club in the city to provide year round training for our dedicated participants.
This latest exciting development is an accreditation to the club culture that all of our members have fostered over the last 6 years. We, as a body, are dedicated to teaching players the proper way to play the game. An organization that stresses the process of learning over results. This subscription to improving the game of soccer at a grassroots level, has produced the vision that we have for the future. As we transition to Total Futbol Academy, we are all responsible for fostering our club culture. Our coaches, administrators, players, and parents all play a significant role.
The Tri-state Futbol Alliance started as a collection of teams with the vision of improving the quality of soccer. This ideal has always been a driving force for everything that we have done, and continue to do. As Total Futbol Academy, we celebrate our past, while understanding, that we are no longer are an alliance, but rather one body, one club. We look to the future with a renewed vigor to continue to teach the beautiful game.
