HOW LONG IS THE SEASON?
Practices will start in mid-March, with games starting mid-April. Expect to practice 2-3 times per week prior to games starting. 1-2 practices once games start.
Final state tournament in 2026 will extend through July 19th.
WHEN ARE GAMES PLAYED?
Typically, teams will have 2 league games scheduled per week. The 3rd “alternate” day of play is intended for field use conflicts or games rescheduled due to inclement weather.
For the American team, plan on games M, W, F, starting late April.
For the Nationals team, plan on games Tues and Thurs.
The JBO schedule comes out in mid-April, and games will start almost immediately after. Your coach will share info with you as soon as possible.

ARE THERE CUTS?
Our goal is to place all registered players on a Sunset Youth Baseball league roster. The number of teams we roster will be determined by the skill level of players participating at each level. Please click go to "Divisions and Levels of Play" for more information.
Although team placement cannot be guaranteed on a Sunset Youth Baseball team, we will work with players not placed on a Sunset Youth Baseball roster to coordinate with neighboring leagues, to find each player a place to play.
