Sports Connect
Sports Connect has rostered teams. Coaches should use their Team Pages to email player contacts and schedule practice events. These events will automatically show in GameChanger. Scheduling practices in GameChanger does not sync back to Sports Connect.


Game Changer
Game Changer is integrated directly with Sports Connect for Little League. The Head Coach will need to import the team into GameChanger from Sports Connect (instructions in next section). Once that is completed, Coaches and Player families should log-in to Game Changer with their same email address and their teams will automatically be available.  

Game Changer also provides the ability for teams to have group messages and keep track of RSVPs for practices and games. Within Game Changer you can message your entire team or choose to message specific members. If you want to create a custom group for just the team coaches, create a new message and select the coaches (Staff).  You can give this group a name after starting the message.

Game Changer can also be used for real-time scoring and live video. This is optional and up to the coaches/teams to decide. If you choose not to use a paper book to keep score, you will need to assign a parent or coach to GameChanger as they will need to stay on top of it during games.

Before importing your team, you must  download the GameChanger app.

Additionally, make sure that:

• You are using the same email address for GameChanger that you use for Sports Connect

• Your team's roster is live on the Sports Connect website.

• You are an allocated volunteer for your team on the Sports Connect site. 

Head Coach Team Import steps:

1. Sign in to GameChanger with the same email address you use with Sports Connect

2. Tap Create Team or the "+" sign to create a new team

3. Choose the option to Import Sports Connect 

4. If you haven't already confirmed your email address, click Open Email App which will direct you to your email. Select Confirm Email Address, and you'll be redirected back to the GameChanger app.

5. Select the team(s) to import. Make sure the team(s) you want to import have a check next to them, and then tap import in the upper corner of the screen. You will see the status of teams importing at the bottom of the screen. 

This feature will import player/schedule information into the mobile app. Schedule and Roster updates made in Sports Connect after the team import will automatically sync within the mobile app. 

Note: You can only import your team from Sports Connect to GameChanger one time.

***IMPORTANT: PLEASE MAKE ALL SCHEDULING CHANGES THROUGH THE WEBSITE AND NOT THE APP.***

Any updates made to your schedule or roster through the site will automatically update to the GameChanger app. However, events that are listed as "Rescheduled" or "Postponed" on Sports Connect will not appear in GameChanger. 

1. Go to "TEAM CENTRAL" -> "TEAM DIRECTORY"
2. Search for your team or select your "Program" & "Division"
3. Select your team
4. Select the "EMAIL" tab
5. Type your message and select recipients
   

We will continue to use Dibs in SportsEngine for Head Coaches to reserve practice fields this year. 

PRACTICE FIELD RESERVATIONS

How-to video

• SLPLL gets access to a dozen or more fields from the City of St Louis Park each year.
• These parks and the field times are provided by the city in chunks each season.  Usually the first times are through Memorial weekend, then the next batch, etc.
• When SLPLL gets the fields, these will be posted into Dibs to claim.  A notice will go out from [email protected] to Head Coaches when available.  
• Head Coaches should ensure they have a log-in to SportsEngine on the legacy SLPLL website.  
• Time slots for week days are at 5:30 and 7:00, for 1.5 hours. 
  

Machine Pitch gets preference on the earlier time slots (5:30).  Kid Pitch coaches, please try to look for later times as much as possible.  


Once you have reserved your practice time and location in DIBS, you must schedule these for your team in Sports Connect. 

Important: Ensure you do this in Sports Connect team page and not directly from GameChanger (otherwise it will not sync).

1. Go to "TEAM CENTRAL" -> "TEAM DIRECTORY"
2. Search for your team or select your "Program" & "Division"
3. Select your team
4. Select the "CALENDAR" tab
5. Select "Create Event"

Note: Games will be automatically created by the league.

Game Lineup Spreadsheet -Click to access a Google Sheets version. Once you have it open, click "File" and "Make a copy" to save your own and be able to edit.
