2025 July Tournament Baseball Teams (Post Little League Regular Season)

July Ball is coming before you know it!

After our in-house season wraps up for kid-pitch teams, we have a proud tradition in St. Louis Park of competing around the metro throughout the month of July and into August. We field an All-Star team at each age level (the 12U team plays for a chance at the Little League World Series - our 2024 team were two wins from Williamsport!) as well as "Select" teams at local tournaments.

  • Players are expected to be available for practices from June 22-July 7, with a slate of tournaments beginning July 8 and running through August 4. These dates are subject to team selection.
  • Every player who expresses interest will be placed on a team.
  • When building rosters, we consider the players' season performance, sportsmanship, availability, and the needs for each age group.
  • All-star teams consist of players of the highest skill/ability at each level. Players are expected to be available for more practice times and games than players on a select team.

St. Louis Park is the host of the 12U district all-star tournament, while Hopkins (11U), Golden Valley (10U), and Crystal (9U) also host. If they advance, the state all-star tournament for 10-12 divisions is in Centennial Lakes (Circle Pines Area) from July 23-27.

Our Select teams play in the Plymouth-New Hope Memorial Cup (July 7-20) and the Bats for Benin Wood Bat Tournament (July 31-Aug 3), hosted here in SLP and in Crystal. The 9U select team may also play in the Paul Perez Tournament, hosted in Coon Rapids in the second half of July.

Please complete the survey shared via e-mail to show your interest in this! There is no additional fee for your player to participate in this extra baseball opportunity, but we do ask for 2 additional volunteer hours from each family this year, as we are hosting many games throughout the first two weeks of July. There will be additional volunteer roles for this tournament, so stay tuned!

All-Star Teams & Little League World Series

Each year, the Little League season concludes with International Tournament play for Little Leaguers in seven divisions. The tournament trail begins in early June and leads to seven World Series tournaments in July and August.

The oldest, and best-known, championship tournament is the annual Little League Baseball World Series held in late August in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with games held in Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Little League Volunteer Stadium.

Levels of Play - All Star Teams

District:  After the  2025 Regular Season Tournaments. This round of play will occur July 7-20, 2025. Locations, by age, are as follows:

  • 12U (ages 10-12) – hosted by Saint Louis Park
  • 11U (ages 9-11) – hosted by Hopkins
  •  10U (ages 8-10) – hosted by Golden Valley

State: This is the next major level of play. The 2025 State Little League Tournament (aka Final Four) will be held July 23-27th at Centennial Lakes, for all divisions noted above (12U. 11U & 10U). Most of these tournaments are played in a standard double-elimination format.

Regions: This is the third level of play. Only the winner of the 12U State tournament advances to regions. The 2025 Central Region tournament is August 1-8th. Most are double elimination, but a few use the modified Olympic Pool Play Format.

World Series: This is the final level of tournament play. The winner of regions advances to the Little League World Series. The dates of the 2025 LL World Series are August 13-24th in Williamsport, PA.
