Coach for Excellence
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” – Colossians 3:23
We believe excellence honors God. Because of this, our coaches are deeply committed to technical skill development,
strong fundamentals, volleyball IQ and court management, clear team systems and roles, and competing with discipline
and intensity. We coach hard with expectations aligned to the level of play. Families should never have to sacrifice
high‑level coaching to be part of a values‑driven volleyball culture.
Identity Before Performance
We believe athletes grow best when they know who they are before focusing on how they perform. Identity comes first;
performance flows from a secure foundation.
Process Over Outcome
We celebrate process wins—not just outcome wins. Growth, habits, effort, and response are emphasized over
short‑term results. Competition matters, but development and learning remain the priority. When coaches focus on rewarding process, it ultimately creates athletes who are exciting about growing rather than placing value only on winning or losing.
Coach from a Place of Belief, Not Fear
Rather than coaching through fear or pressure, we coach from trust, accountability, and encouragement. Secure
athletes take healthy risks, receive feedback openly, and develop more consistently. While some athletes do see results from performing because they are afraid not to, we believe that level of progress has a peak much lower than when athletes are coached from a place of belief that they can improve. This also requires the athlete to create internal motivation that will help them throughout their life.
Grow Volleyball IQ
We teach athletes to think the game: reading servers and hitters, understanding rotations and roles, making smart
decisions, taking calculated risks, and communicating with purpose. As IQ grows, confidence and consistency follow. Volleyball IQ is crucial for athletes who plan on taking their game to the highest levels.
