Tommy Vadell has been part of the Fort Mill community since 2012, where he lives with his family and has watched both of his sons grow through the game of football. Like many families in the program, his connection to the Carolina Copperheads started on the sidelines as a parent, experiencing firsthand what the program means to kids and families.

That perspective led him to step into a leadership role on the Copperheads Board, with a focus on building a stronger, more consistent experience for everyone involved. Professionally, Tommy works in marketing strategy, helping organizations build structured, high-performing programs, an approach he brings into how the Copperheads are organized and run.

Behind the scenes, he helps oversee the many moving parts that keep the program running, including safety and compliance, scheduling, communication, and planning. It's work that often goes unseen, but is essential to creating an environment where players can show up, focus, and enjoy the game.

For Tommy, the program's impact goes beyond football. He believes kids should leave with confidence, discipline, and a strong understanding of teamwork, learning how to handle adversity, put in the work, and support one another both on and off the field.

Looking ahead, he is focused on continuing to build a program that prepares kids for what comes next while maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive experience for every player. The goal is simple: help every child grow, gain confidence, and carry those lessons forward wherever they go.
