Dear SMLL Families,
To protect our players, volunteers, and community members against the increasing spread of COVID-19, the SMLL Board feels that it is in the best interest to follow Little League International’s recommendation (see below) to temporary suspend ALL league activities until April 6th.
Effective immediately, there will be no practices, games, or league activities until April 6th. More specifically, NO ONE is permitted to use the fields, batting cages, or SMLL facilities during this time.
The Field Day scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, 3/14) has been postponed. However, if you have equipment to donate to Pitch in for Baseball and Softball, you may still drop it off in front of the snack bar tomorrow morning by 11:00 a.m.
We know that everyone is excited to begin the season and this news is disappointing, but our main obligation is to keep our community members—especially our children—safe, which is why we have decided to follow Little League’s recommendation. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
We will continue to update you as more information becomes available. In the meantime, know that we are looking forward to a great season ahead.
