Volunteer Background Checks and Clearances Requirements
All volunteers at South Marple must complete and submit the required Pennsylvania State and Little League International background checks and clearances.
This year, the PA CLEARANCES AND CHECKS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN PAPER FORMAT (see details below). The State Clearances are required prior to the commencement of service and are good for a 5-year period.
The Little League Volunteer Background Check will be completed online.
Due Date for Submission: MARCH 26, 2022
Volunteers must have ALL of the following background checks and clearances:
1. Little League Background Check (JDP)
- Fill out this form: link to form
- JDP will send you an email with a link to complete the background check.
- Please complete it as soon as you receive the email from JDP.
You do NOT need to submit a paper copy of the Little League Background Check.
2. Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
After completion, you will immediately receive a pdf that you can print.

3. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
It can sometimes take a day or two (or even up to a week) to receive the clearance. Please pay attention to your inbox for an email that will allow you to log back on and download the clearance document.

4. FBI check ONLY if you have NOT lived in Pennsylvania continuously for the past 10 years.
For the FBI check, you would need to go to a location for fingerprinting and then you can submit the check.

4. If you have been a resident of PA continuously for the past 10 years, completed the disclaimer.

HOW TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTS
We will have three dates to drop off the paper copy of your PA clearances and checks at SMLL Complex:
Wednesday, 3/10 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, 3/13 (Field Day) 9:00 to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 3/17 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
