Welcome to St Ignatius Boys Volleyball 2022!
We will have open gyms Sunday 2/6 at Cheviot Fieldhouse per the following schedule:
6:00-7:00 - Grades 3 & 4
7:15-8:15 - Grades 5 & 6
8:30-9:30 - Grades 7 & 8
Team selection / tryouts will be held at St. Ignatius Gym on Monday, 2/7 and Tuesday, 2/8 between the hours of 7-10 pm per the following schedule:
Grades 3 & 4 - Monday, 2/7 evaluations 7:00-7:45 – 1 night only
- All teams will be instructional level with players of mixed skill levels
Grades 5 & 6 – Monday, 2/7 - arrive at 7:50 for uniforms; on the court for evaluations 8:00-8:50
– Tuesday, 2/8 - arrive at 6:50; on the court for evaluations 7:00 – 8:00

Grades 7 & 8 – Monday, 2/7 - arrive at 8:50 for uniforms; on the court for evaluations 9:00-9:50
– Tuesday, 2/8 - arrive at 8:20; on the court for evaluations 8:30 – 9:30

Please note, team selection / tryouts will be closed to parent observation. Parents are asked to not enter the gym but will be required to wait outside. Please have your son enter the gym through the regular gym door and plan to get checked in and wait on the bleachers where assigned after arrival until the coaches are ready for his group. They will be dismissed at the other gym door. An adult will watch to ensure they are picked up by a parent or carpool.
Level of play for the 5 thru 8 grade teams will be decided by the evaluators following team selection. Grades 3&4 are instructional only, and we will have one A team at each of the 5&6 and 7&8 grade levels.
Coaches will be assigned following team selection. Practices will begin at the end of February and league matches will begin mid-March. We'll do our best to accommodate other commitments throughout the season.
League Play - mid March to late May; games are usually Friday, Saturday, or Sunday late afternoon/evening, with the exception of a few weekday evening games.
We can always use more coaches so please consider volunteering. Thank you to those of you who have already volunteered when registering your child.
