To All Players & Families,

The Chester County Health Department has recently updated it’s guidance on masks to be aligned to the Federal Government announcement on April 27, 2021, and the updated Universal Face Covering Order issued by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Health with the following modification: Any individual engaging in high exertion OUTDOOR activities, including but not limited to, athletics, exercise or play activities, is NOT required to wear masks when actively engaged in those activities effective immediately.  

As a result of this guidance and feedback from directors, coaches, and parents that masks in the field have put players at a high risk of injury, masks in the field of play will now be optional. 

Masks will still be required to be worn by players in the dugout and around the complex. Our Return to Play document published on our website has been updated to reflect the policy change. Nell will continue to reinforce the guidance in the Return to Play including that all volunteers, umpires, and spectators are required to wear a mask at the NELL complex.

As a league, we must continue to follow and implement the current guidance for outdoor youth sports. Strict adherence to the above will increase the probability of completing a safe and successful season. Please monitor your player’s health at all times and report any exposure(s) immediately to the League.
