Great Falls Soccer Club

Great Falls Soccer Club offers the following programs:

In addition to league play in the Fall/Spring seasons for all levels, we also offer mostly year round training, clinics and developmental camps. There are also opportunities to play non-league soccer games outside of the Fall/Spring seasons.

Age Group Mandate

The Age Group Mandate went into effect for the Fall 2016 season.  Under these rules, players are now grouped by birth year, regardless of their grade or current team assignment (for example, for Fall 2017, all children with 2010 birthdays are grouped together as 8U).  This is a nationwide mandate that GFSC is required to follow.

4U Kickers

Great Falls’ 4U Kickers Soccer program is designed for our youngest players born from Jan 1, 2014 - Aug 31, 2014 (3-4 year olds).  The philosophy of our program can be summed up in one word – FUN!

5U Kickers

Great Falls’ 5U Kickers program is designed for slightly older players born in 2013 (older 4s and 5 year olds).  This program provides a little more structure than the Little Kickers program.

Recreational – House & Suburban Friendship League (SFL)

The GFSC recreational program (6U-18U) is a developmental program designed for players born 1999 through 2012 who are still developing the technical skills to play soccer or do not have the interest in playing soccer at a highly competitive level.

For Fall 2017, the House league covers 6U to 10U, for players born 2008 through 2012.  Players born 1999 through 2007 participate in the Suburban Friendship League (SFL) in 11U to 18U.  In SFL, our GFSC teams compete outside of the club with other neighboring soccer clubs.

Our 6U teams are coed since boys and girls are developmentally at similar stages up to this point.  Starting with 7U, we aim to have a girls and a boys division for each age group (provided there are enough participants in the program).

Travel Program

The GFSC Travel Program is for those kids who have sufficient skill and interest to play soccer at more competitive levels.  Tryouts are held for the GFSC travel teams annually in late May through mid June (sometimes in other months of the year if the roster is not full).  The emphasis is on team success and developing individual skill to the highest possible level.  GFSC prides itself on providing dedicated coaches and staff who will provide individual attention and monitoring of player development, which is a luxury we provide due to the optimal size of our club.  A player commits to play with a team for an entire year including fall and spring league practice and games, and winter training.  Typically, summer training is required in the form of a one week evening camp and weekly practices.

Great Falls travel teams are registered to play in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) and the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL).
