Placement GuidelinesOur Registration software places players by birthdate.Players will be grouped by birth year. Children will not be allowed to “play up” in the House league to an older age group.Players cannot “play down” unless they have approval from the Vice President of Recreational Leagues & SFL, and there are exceptional circumstances (i.e., developmental delays, significant medical issues, etc.).Player GroupingsSince Fall 2016, players are grouped by birth year under the Age Group Mandate. House league teams are formed for the 6U through 18U age groups. The 6U group is coed, with boys and girls participation. Players in 7U and older age groups may play on either an all-girls team or an all-boys team. Certain of the girls age groups are combined - 7/8U girls and 9/10U girls (both age groups are represented on each team). For Spring 2018, players’ choices can be summarized as follows:2012 Players - All coed 6U teams2011 Players - Choice of a boys 7U team or a girls 7/8U team2010 Players - Choice of a boys 8U team or a girls 7/8U team2009 Players - Choice of a boys 9U team or a girls 9/10U team2008 Players - Choice of a boys 10U team or a girls 9/10U teamRecreational players who are in the 11U-19U (1999-2007) age groups play in the Suburban Friendship League (SFL) and should see our SFL page for additional information.
