PHILOSOPHY OF TOWN ‘N COUNTRY BASEBALL
Town ‘N Country Baseball (TNC) passionately believes in the benefits of participation in organized youth baseball. In general, participation in sports has proven to build self-esteem, promote teamwork, develop the body as well as the mind, and is an integral part of the maturation process. Therefore, the goal of TNC is to provide a quality recreational baseball program and services to young people that will build the foundation for them to grow up healthy, capable, and caring individuals in our community.
In order to operate successful organized youth baseball program; we will enforce the following four philosophies:
Everyone plays: Our organized baseball program is co-ed and open to all kids between the ages of 3-14. We mandate that every player on every team must play at least half of every game.
Balanced Teams: We do not stack teams! Our recreational teams are created as evenly-balanced skill levels as possible because it is fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.
Positive coaching: Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better skilled and better motivated players.
Good Sportsmanship: We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all costs attitude.
