The Loveland Player Development Program (Baseball Academy) is a popular program for players who are interested in improving foundational skills between seasons. We strive to do this in a fun, organized program that mimics private lessons but in a more affordable and approachable group lesson format lead by a professional instructor. It’s perfect for any ball player of any skill level. Current programs are offered in Winter and Summer, falling in between our Spring and Fall baseball seasons. Loveland Academy also occasionally offers one-off opportunities for clinics and batting lessons with professional instructors.
The program is run by a certified instructor with assistance from volunteer parent coaches. It is typically a 4-6 week, once-a-week practice focusing on key fundamentals. Players receive a piece of Academy branded swag each time they complete a session.
Curriculum covered includes:
- Base Running
- Catching
- Grip & Throwing Mechanics
- Fielding Mechanics
- Hitting Mechanics
- FUN
Older Players:
- Pitching Mechanics
- Situational Defense
Baseball is as much of a skill as it is a sport and the more reps your player gets the more comfortable they become. The more comfortable they become the more confidence they have and the better they get. The better they get, the more fun they will have!
