Elections will be held on Sunday September 11th at 7pm - Location will be Redline in Loveland.
PRESIDENT
President - Legal - Liaison with Attorney, Liaison with other Organizations - City of Loveland, Townships, Softball, School, etc, District Contact - Liaison with Little League District 9. Facilitate Board Meeting. Communicate / Summarize to the Board After + Post to Website.
- Current President Mike Wagner is prepared to maintain this role assuming he is nominated and elected, however professional obligations require his role to spread into support positions to reduce the time commitment.
TREASURERTrack Receivables: Dues, Sponsors/Donors, Fund Raiser, Concessions. Payables: Investments, Operating Expenses. Insurance Maintenance.
Pay All Bills, Reconcile Quicken to PNC, Categorize all income and expenses in Quicken, File tax return and Ohio Attorney General stuff, Manage mailbox, Provide Treasurer report to board, Forecast future cash needs and work with board to determine spending prioritization. Also manage the LYBO scholarship process.
- The current sitting board member IS moving on and this is an imperative role to the organization that NEEDS to be filled.
- If you are an accountant or simply good with math you would fit into this role.
- Baseball knowledge is NOT necessary.
VP OPERATIONSEquipment - Inventory Management, Player & Umpire Gear (Distribute and Collect). Fields - Liaison with City, Contract and Development. Safety - Little League ASAP Program, First Aid Training, Equipment and Fields. Perform Background Checks on all coaches, board members, and 18+ umpires for Spring and Fall Season. Perform Annual Registration of Teams/Insurance. Manage Portable Restrooms.
- Current sitting board member has been in this role for several years and has kids aging out of the program.
FALL BALL COORDINATOR
Facilitate the fall season. First, working to coordinate registration and create team rosters. Next, build the season schedule in conjunction with league directors internally and out of house league coordinators. Preparing Coaches and teams and managing the season as it progresses.
- The current Coordinator Brian Joyner is currently helping get the 2022 Fall Ball season up and running. He would like to use this season as an on the job training session for his replacement for the 2023 Fall Ball Season.
- If we are unable to fill this role we will likely not be able to have a 2023 Fall Ball season
SCHEDULING COORDINATORS (2) - SUPPORT ROLEManage Field Scheduling within the System. Create Initial Schedule and Update Reschedules (Rain). Work with League Coordinators on rescheduling cancelled games as the season progresses.
- This was a recently newly created role to help spread the work load for the VP of Operations
- Board's goal is to split this current job into two roles: 5U to 8U Coordinator and 9U and up Coordinator
- This is a relatively passive role for 9 months of the year but during the Spring season requires some attention getting the season schedule initiated and adjusting for weather
- This would be a support role with a lead to help guide you through it
- Main requirement is computer access and basic coordination / communications skills
12U COORDINATORManages age group specific communication (including schedule, rules, updates) throughout the season. Collects and posts pitch counts and scores to LYBO website. Actively involved in formation of teams based on evaluation data and related sources. Goal is to create balanced teams where friends can play together. Distributes equipment, coordinates equipment replacement in partnership with corresponding Board Member. Collects equipment at the end of the season. Fields questions from coaches and parents throughout the season. Coordinates postseason playoff tournament. When applicable, coordinates with neighboring Little League organizations to provide more game opportunities for teams. When applicable, recruits coaches and related volunteers. Coordinates safety course protocols for coaches within age group (i.e. concussion training). Assists with game scheduling and rescheduling due to weather, etc. Work with registrar to place kids on correct teams. Advise coaches on inter-league D9 scheduling, uniforms, umpires, equipment, etc. Manage field availability w coaches & City.
- Current sitting member would stay on if necessary but his youngest kid is 14 and no longer playing in LYBO.
- Ideal candidate is someone who has a kid that is moving into their 11U season so they can fulfill these needs for 2 years.
- Intent would be to replace this role after that with a 10U coordinator who's player is moving into 12U.
VP MARKETINGContributes to LYBO marketing strategy by leveraging social media to identify and acquire participation, promote events and create buzz. Maintains online relations with board members, community members, prospective families and sponsors. Ensures LYBO website is updated (Lead) and relevant with assistance from assigned Board Members. Maintains working relationship with external vendors such as graphic design firms. Volunteers for events and has feet on the ground when set up is needed etc. Posting signs and flyers to targeted businesses and around the community. Manages LYBO FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram presence.
- This role will likely be maintained by the current seat but if this is of interest to you perhaps we could repurpose
NEW ROLES FOR 2022-23
UNIFORM COORDINATOR
This role would work with the Registration Coordinator, League Directors, and VP Player Development to order Spring, Fall, and Academy uniforms. Upon delivery they would work with League Directors and Coaches + Academy to distribute uniforms. This is a passive role except for January, March, and August as we kick off each season or Academy session.
SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR
This role would be the go to for special events before, during and after the season.
