Throwing

• Basics of throwing straight by lining-up the mind and body:
  • Think about where you're throwing before and during the throw. AND make sure the receiving player is ready to catch the ball
  • Look at your target. The receiving player should have their glove chest high, leaning out straight, with their foot on the outside tip of the bag
  • Step towards your target landing your lead foot pointed AT the target.
  • Aim your throw - Infielders should shuffle their feet towards the target. Outfielders should skip-hop their throw to the cut-off player.
  • Aim your throw to land chest high.
