The Registrar plays a critical role in ensuring smooth player registration, team formation and communication throughout the season. This manual outlines key responsibilities, timelines and best practices.

Annual Key Dates:

• August 1 - PYSA Fall U7-U19 Fall League, Team Registration Deadline
• October 15 - PYSA Fall Shootout Tournament Registration Deadline
• March 1 - PYSA Fall U7-U19 Spring League, Team Registration Deadline

2026/27 Playdates & Deadlines


Fall 2026

• Team Registration Deadline: August 1st
• Fall 2026 Play Dates: Sept. 12, 19, 26 & Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
• U10-14 teams play 7 games
• U9 teams play in 6 games. The U9 Jamboree on September 6th counts as one of those games.
  

PYSA Fall Shootout Tournament: November 7th & November 14th, 2026 (seperate registration required)

Spring 2027

• Team Registration Deadline: March 1, 2027
• Spring 2026 Play Dates: April 4, 11, 18, 25 & May 2, 9, 16 (this date is as needed based on number of teams registered)
• Teams play 6 games and no practice fields are given.

Team Formation

Work with coaching staff to create balanced teams:

Consider the following, including abiding by the non-discrimination policy, listed below:

• Age and grade

• Skill level (if applicable)

• Friend/coach requests (if allowed)

• All teams must follow a standardized naming convention format: Club Acronym + Team Name + Age Group/Gender (Example: ASC Monsoons U12B). Teams combined across two age groups must include both age groups in the name (ASC Monsoons U11/12B).

• Finalize and publish rosters

• Collect all game schedule requests from coaches and submit to league

• Collect master contact list all coaches and board members and submit to league

Competitive Player Policy

At PYSA, our recreational soccer leagues are designed to prioritize fun and teach players the fundamentals of the game. While we welcome players of all skill levels, including beginners, we kindly request that competitive club players in the U11-U15 age groups refrain from participating in PYSA's leagues. The presence of competitive players can disrupt the intended fun and balanced environment we aim to provide for all recreational participants.

Non-Discrimination Policy for Team Formation

Team formation must be conducted in a fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory manner. Registrars and club officials must ensure that:

• Players are not excluded or treated differently based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation

• All players are given equal opportunity to participate and be placed on a team

• Friend or coach requests are considered only within established guidelines and do not override fairness or balance

• Team formation decisions prioritize balanced teams, player development and a positive experience for all participants

PYSA Membership Fees

*Club’s will be invoiced the first week in November for the fall season, and the third week in May for the Spring season. Annual player and coach league fees soccer Insurance that is valid for the playing season, which runs September 1  to August 31. Fall player registration will start your new  year’s insurance for players and coaches. Referees are included for all U9-19 games.

Any Late League or Tournament Payments will be billed: 

• 30 days late - (on the 31st day after the invoice) - amount plus 5% late fee 

• 60 days late - (on the 61st day after the invoice) - amount plus 10% late fee 

• 90 days late - (on the 31st day after the invoice) - amount plus 15% late fee
