Competitive Player Policy

At PYSA, our recreational soccer leagues are designed to prioritize fun and teach players the fundamentals of the game. While we welcome players of all skill levels, including beginners, we kindly request that competitive club players in the U11-U15 age groups refrain from participating in PYSA's leagues. The presence of competitive players can disrupt the intended fun and balanced environment we aim to provide for all recreational participants. If you have questions about this policy, please reach out at executivedirector@portlandyouthsoccer.com. 

Spring 2026

Team Registration Deadline: March 2, 2026

Spring 2026 Play Dates:

• April 4, 11, 18, 25 & May 2, 9, 16 (this date is as needed based on number of teams registered)
• Teams play 6 games and no practice fields are given.

Fall 2026


Team Registration Deadline: August 6th, 2026

Fall 2026 Play Dates:

• Sept. 5, 12, 19, 26 & Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24
  
• U10-14 teams play 7 games
• U9 teams play in 6 games. The U9 Jamboree on September 6th counts as one of those games.
  

PYSA Fall Shootout Tournament: November 7th & November 14th, 2026 (seperate registration required)
