Interested In Becoming A Referee?

PYSA will reimburse first-time year referees 18 years old and younger the amount of $100 after they work at least 12 games during their first season and at least two games of the tournament in November.

Once you become a USSF certified referee, register under www.reftown.com and request to work for PYSA. 
All games are played in the city of Portland. Minimum age: 13 years old.

The rationale behind mandatory on-field training and meeting is that PYSA only utilizes center referees and we use some modified laws of the game.

Requirements

PYSA Mandatory Referee On-field Training for First Times Referees: You will be accepted after you comply with all the PYSA requirements, attend the on-field training/mandatory meeting and attend the PYSA U9 Jamboree. For more information, please reach out at [email protected].

Each match at the Jamboree is 25 minutes without halves (and pay is $10/game). Please dress in full uniform and arrive 30 minutes prior to your match start time. You will receive valuable experience and education while participating in our season opening Jamboree. This on-field experience is required for all NEW referees.
