This is a shortened spring season to provide experienced players with live game reps before their travel seasons start. These games are not intended for instruction or teaching newer or less experienced players the game. The games will be played at Shoshone Park in North Buffalo.
We will schedule organized Saturday games starting mid April and continue through the weekend before Memorial Day. If a Saturday game is canceled due to rain, it will be made up on Sunday. We aim to form four rotating teams that will play against each other. If only two teams are built, the players will be broken up sandlot style every week. Games would start at 10am and be limited to 6 innings.
The plan is to have the players move around into different positions every few innings and strictly limit pitchers’ arm usage, allowing them to pitch one or two innings per game at most.
The primary goal of these live games is to keep your player in game shape and prevent them from being at a disadvantage compared to players who are playing modified or high school baseball in April and May.
The cost for this opportunity is $40. Uniforms and equipment will not be provided. The fees generated will be used to pay for umpires. There is no residency requirement.
For those looking to learn the game we recommend signing up for our House program here.
