Volunteer Coach Registration Guide (No Team Roster Required)
⚠️ Important: This guide is for coaches who are volunteering without a team roster. Odessa YMCA staff will assign players and/or teams based on league needs. You do not need to create a team or send invites.
STEP 1️⃣: Go to the Registration Page

STEP 2️⃣: Create Your Account or Log In
STEP 3️⃣: Register as a Volunteer Coach

After your account is set up, click “Volunteer.”

Select the program and age division you would like to coach.

Click “Sign Up” next to the role Coach.

Complete your information and click “Continue.”
STEP 4️⃣: Team Name Requirements (Coaches Will Be Prompted to Pick a Team Name)
When registering as a coach, you will be prompted to pick a team name. Please follow these program-specific naming conventions:

🏈 NFL FLAG: Choose an NFL team name (e.g., Cowboys, Eagles).

🏀 Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA: Choose an NBA or WNBA team name (e.g., Spurs, Liberty).

⚽ MLS GO: Choose an MLS team name (e.g., Austin FC, LA Galaxy).
-
⚾ T-Ball: Choose an MLB team name (e.g., Astros, Yankees).
These guidelines will help keep the naming consistent with the league.
STEP 5️⃣: Complete Background Check
All coaches must complete and pass a background check.

STEP 6️⃣: Register Your Child (If Applicable)
If you have a child participating in the league:
👉 Go back to your Sports Connect account and register your child using the Team Code provided in the directory.
❌ If you do not have a child participating, you may skip this step.

Odessa YMCA staff will place you with a team once registration is complete.

If your assigned team does not meet the minimum number of players, individual players may be added to complete the roster.

All communication from Sports Connect will go to the email address you used to create your account.
