🏅 How to Accept a Team Invite on Sports Connect

Odessa Family YMCA Youth Leagues – Parent Instructions

If your child has been invited to join a team, follow the steps below to accept the invitation, enter your team code, and complete registration.

⚠️ Important: A coach must register and create a team before parents can register their children and join that team. Do not attempt to register your child until the coach has completed this step and sent out the team invite.

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Check Your Email

• Look for an email from Sports Connect with the subject line:
  “Odessa Family YMCA is inviting you to join the team [Team Name]”

• Open the email and click the link provided to accept the invitation.

Step 2: Log In or Create an Account

• After clicking the link, you’ll be directed to Sports Connect.

• Log into your account, or create a new one if you don’t already have one.

Step 3: Program Will Be Pre-Selected

• Once logged in, the program your child has been invited to will already be selected.

• Click “Continue” to proceed with registration.

Step 4: Enter the Team Code

• You will be prompted to enter a team code.

• The coach should have included the team code in the email with your invitation.

• If you did not receive a team code, please contact the coach who sent the invite before proceeding.

Step 5: Complete Registration and Payment

• After entering the team code, continue through the registration process.

• You will be asked to complete any remaining forms and pay for the program.

• Once submitted, your child will be automatically placed on the team in our Sports Connect system.
