As an organization the FRYB has continued to have regular conversations regarding the 2020-2021 Winter Recreation basketball program. We’ve been working behind the scenes to figure out solutions and put the necessary processes in place to be ready for when we got the go-ahead to begin the season.

That being said, FRYB’s Recreation program has always been reliant on the use of the Flemington-Raritan and Hunterdon Central Regional HS district’s facilities, and at the moment, the districts are not currently permitting outside groups to use their facilities.

As such, we do not currently have access to any indoor facilities to host our Winter recreation basketball program and have no choice but to postpone the season at this time.

As a group we will continue to evaluate and investigate alternative options, and are still hopeful that at some point soon we can explore the possibility of having an abbreviated 2020-2021 Winter basketball season, or even offer a special program in the Spring of 2021.

We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and will communicate back to you as more information becomes available.
