Tee Ball Schedule April 15

Opening Day April 15

We're pleased to announce the details of our Opening Day plans for Saturday, April 15 at Cove Point Park!! Everyone is invited and expected! We suggest our families do the following to make it a success:-- Pack water, chairs, and/or picnic blankets.-- Bring sunscreen/hats.-- The entertainment is free, but there will be a raffle table, food trucks, and a donation-based dunk tank, so you may want to bring a little cash.-- The league is selling hot dogs, chips, and drinks at the main league table by the bathrooms behind Field 2.-- Uniforms will be distributed to coaches this week.-- Have fun & play ball!


Schedule
-- 8:30 a.m.: Tee ball games begin. Check GameChanger for your specific game and field. Find the full tee ball map here.-- 9:30 a.m.: Challengers game Field 2-- 10:45 a.m.: Parade lineup begins at 10:45 a.m. for EVERY TEAM. All players are invited to participate. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the back of CPP Field 2 and end on Field 2 (parade meetup locations and route map attached).-- 11:00 a.m.: Parade and ceremony-- Noon - 4 p.m.: Food sales, inflatables, face painting, dunk tank, speed pitch, fire trucks & fire safety, ACLT naturists and more-- Your game time: Check game changer for your specific game time and with your coach for time of arrival.

ParkingWe will be closing some parking to accommodate the inflatables and food trucks. Tee ball is encouraged to park in the L-shaped lot surrounding field 2 to be closest to your field.The gravel lot at 3 & 4, the pool parking, and the large front lot will be available.We will have a drop-off loop close to the festivities so families can drop off and then park.PLEASE CARPOOL/bring as few cars as possible to alleviate parking issues. Parks and Rec has asked us to remind everyone not to park in the grass and to park in designated spots only. 
Parade/CeremonyWe will have a parade featuring our athletes before the ceremony. Please meet your team in the outfield of Field 2 (near the Steelers concession stand) for parade staging at 10:45 a.m. Teams should carry their sponsor banner.The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m., just as tee ball is finishing up.The short ceremony will directly follow the parade at the infield of Field 2.(Challengers, meet at first base on Field 2 for parade after game ends.)
DJ/Games/InflatablesWe will have a DJ, yard games including cornhole, several fun inflatables (way more than a moon bounce!), and a (donation-based) dunk tank to enjoy from 12-4 p.m. These activities are free to enjoy, and please be respectful to allow everyone a chance to play.
League main tableDon't miss the league table near the Field 2 bathrooms where we will have league window clings for your car and some temporary tattoos for the kids available for free.Here is where you can also purchase raffle tickets for $1, or 25 for $20.We will be running TWO SEPARATE raffles:- A 50/50 raffle where one lucky winner will win half the money raised in this specific raffle.- A prize raffle where you can win donated prizes including:Signed Patrick Corbin baseball Donated by the Washington Nationals 2 gift baskets with cosmetic tattooing gift cards: Donated by Julie StupBackpack of goodies including Dick's gift card: Donated by Community Bank of the ChesapeakeGift card to Tint Works: Donated by Tint Works PlusGift card to Kidz Art Skool: Donated by Kidz Art SkoolGift basket and gift card to Rebel Rose Salon: Donated by Rebel Rose SalonLuxury Blue Crabs Suite: Donated by the Southern Maryland Blue CrabsGolf Lessons gift card: Donated by SoMD golf2 Orioles gift baskets: Donated by the Baltimore Orioles

O's tickets: Don't forget to pick up your Orioles tickets from the league table if you purchased them through us!

Police & FireThe Calvert County Sheriff's Office is setting up their speed pitch tent at the patio area between Fields 1 & 2.Solomons Fire & Rescue is bringing several apparatus, hanging the flag for the National Anthem and bringing their fire prevention team for our athletes. They will be set up in the parking area between Fields 1 & 2.

Most importantly, stay safe and have fun. We are so excited to kick off this season. Let's remember to be respectful of our public park and leave no trace, park in designated spots only, and let us or CCPR staff know if there are any issues throughout the day.
