It’s hard to believe...but Registration for DSA’s Fall 2024 Recreational Soccer season opens on Saturday, June 1^st and ends on Saturday July 15^th.  DSA Soccer is for kids ages 3 through 8^thgrade and the Fall season runs from September 7^th through October 19^th.

Registrations are processed on a first come – first serve basis and late registrations are assessed a $20 per player late fee since teams must then be re-formed/balanced to accommodate late registrations and pay for jersey rush orders after the registration deadline. Register on June 1st to assure placement.

To register your child(ren), Google Delaware Soccer Association…scroll down and click on the red/black Delaware Recreational Soccer Club logo…follow the link for Player Registration.  If you haven’t already done so, you will need to set up an account and add each player…then you’ll be able to register for the Fall 2024 season.  HINT:  be sure you don’t get onto the State of Delaware’s soccer site!

If you want to be the HEAD COACH of your son’s or daughter’s team, you should register your child(ren) on-line using the HEAD COACH link so your registration fee can be waived (you still purchase the player’s jersey).  The HEAD COACH prepares, coordinates and runs practices and games; communicates practice and game schedules; conducts parent/player meetings as appropriate, etc. 

If you want to be a CO-HEAD COACH of your son’s or daughter’s team, you should register your child(ren) on-line using the CO-HEAD COACH link so one half of your registration fee can be waived.  The CO-HEAD COACH serves with another co-head coach, sharing the Head Coaching duties described above.

A few reminders for everyone:

1)      Teams are single sex teams, divided by grade levels.  DSA is not able to accept special requests for a player to be placed on a specific team or paired up with another player, etc…unless the other player is a sibling or 1^st cousin.  That decision was made decades ago in order to preserve the integrity of the association such that whatever we do for one, we must do for all…and honoring special requests was/is impossible since DSA balances the teams by having players of the same age, grade level and levels of playing experience on each team.  That said, if the player has a sibling or 1^st cousin of the same gender who would be playing on the same age/grade team, then the sibling/cousin will be placed on the same team (but they must be registered separately and on time).

2)      Although actual schedules cannot be prepared until the number of teams in each age bracket are finalized (which is determined by the number of registrations), DSA’s website will show the intended days/times for games (in the Parent Information link).  These projected days and times assume a similar number of registrations as in prior seasons. Any scheduled practice days/times are determined by the coach once teams are formed, and actual schedules are distributed.
