Dr. Cody has agreed to staff a 'Medical Services Tent' at Mingo Park every Saturday from 9a - 1p.  We are launching this service on Saturday, May 6th and Dr. Cody will be staffing the tent for the remainder of the spring season and during our tryouts for the Delaware Knights in late May.

Hello all,

 

            My name is Dr. Cody T. Estrel. I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio where I attended Sylvania Northview Highschool. During my time at Northview I was fortunate enough to play varsity Baseball and Hockey in which we made it to the Ohio State Hockey Championship finals three years in a row, winning the championship two out of three years. I then attended The University of Toledo where I earned my bachelor’s degree in exercise science.

Following my bachelor’s degree, I then went on to attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. My wonderful girlfriend Rachel who is a speech language pathologist and I moved to Lewis Center this past August and absolutely adore this area. We have three pets (two dogs Buck and Bandit and a cat Max).

We enjoy being active outside including running and going on hikes. Personally, I enjoy playing hockey, golf, and hanging out with friends.  My goal is to give back to the community, treat injured athletes, and educate as many people as possible re: how to live a better and healthier lifestyle. While growing up playing sports I never suffered a serious injury and I hold chiropractic care to be one of the main contributing factors of my good fortune. Services I will be providing:

·       Examination of any injury that occurs to an athlete (will assess and treat or refer if necessary)

·       Musculoskeletal assessment for joint dysfunction or sprain

·       Kinesiotaping and sports taping

·       Myofascial soft tissue work  

·       Concussion evaluation

·       Ice packs

·       Injury prevention and education

 

Cost:

·       All on-field services that I render will be provided at no cost

 

Time:

·       I will be present on Saturdays from 9am-noon with a few exceptions if scheduling conflicts arise
