Todd Dusosky
Todd was born and raised in Ramsey, Minnesota and currently lives in Elk River, Minnesota with his wife Jackie and three children Tyson, Charlize and Brody. After a long professional playing career Todd moved back to Minnesota a few years ago to continue his soccer career at the coaching level. He came from a big soccer family where his twin brother Troy had a long professional career and two sisters Amber and Shannon were Division 2 All Americans at Minnesota State Mankato.
In September of 2013, Todd was named Interim DOC and in March of 2014 became the permanent full time Director of Player Development and Coaching with CRU. He has worked for MYSA and the ODP Program as a District Select coach and the '99' boys head coach. As a Senior Director for Coerver Coaching Minnesota and help run the Select, COE and Sharp Shooter programs. In 2012-2013 Todd was an assistant coach with Macalester College men's program. Along with college coaching he has coached for numerous local clubs from U19 premier teams to U6 Rec. Todd has been a summer camp director for 17 years, 12 of those years with the Milwaukee Wave's summer camp which is one of the largest in the United States with over 4,000 kids a summer. He has run Futsal clinics in Brazil, Singapore, Costa Rica and Taipei Taiwan.
Todd graduated from Anoka High School in 1994 as the all-time leading scorer. After high school he attended Viterbo University where he set the school's single season scoring record that still stands today. Todd turned professional in 1995, and began his career with the Cleveland Crunch of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL). That season they won the league championship and Todd was named a second team all-star. Todd returned home during the summer of 1996, to play professionally outdoors for two seasons with the Minnesota Thunder. In the fall of 1996 Todd began his 2nd season in Cleveland and was then traded to the Milwaukee Wave in December of 1996. Todd won the Championship in 1997 with Milwaukee then left for the summer to play indoors in Lafayette LA with the Swampcats of the Eastern Indoor Soccer League (EISL). Todd led the league in goals, assists and total points along with helping the Swampcats win their 2nd straight Championship.
In the fall of 1997 Todd was a member of the US National Futsal team that played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was his first of many trips with the US Futsal Team. In 2000 they played in the Tiger 5's National Futsal tournament in Singapore. In 2004 Todd made the US team and represented our country in Costa Rica for the CONCACAF qualifier. They ended up winning the CONCACAF gold medal and qualified for the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Taipei Taiwan. Todd was a starter and team member for the US World Cup team. They ended up losing to Brazil in the quarterfinals. It was the best finish by any US Futsal team.
Todd spent most of his playing career with the Milwaukee Wave which is the longest running professional soccer club in America. He was a member of 4 League Championship teams. Named the MISL Finals MVP in 2005 after scoring the game winning goal in double overtime. Todd's goal was #6 on ESPN's plays of the day. In 2006 Todd was named MISL All star game MVP against team Mexico. During Todd's Wave career he continued to play professional outdoor soccer with the Milwaukee Rampage and Milwaukee Wave United.
Todd was a member of 6 Championship teams throughout his playing career. In 2009 he was inducted into the Milwaukee Wave's Inaugural Hall Of Fame class. Todd has volunteered his time with numerous organizations over the years including the MACC Fund and Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. He enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge of the game with our players and coaches and looks forward to working closely with everyone involved at CRU.
